Andy Baio a tech enthusiast stumbled on a shocking discovery while trying to scan a document.

Baio said he noticed a device called "Virtual Scanner II," which he had never seen before…

When he changed the media type from "Photo" to "Document," the Bitcoin white paper appeared.  

Voila!

Here's the kicker:

Upon investigation, every macOS starting from Mojave (10.14.0) to the present-day version (Ventura) has a copy of the Bitcoin whitepaper.

Weird right? No one knows why it's there! 🤔

Maybe it's just Apple's way of saying, "Hey, we're not just a tech company, we're also part of the crypto game." 😎

Or maybe it's just a happy coincidence.

Andy Baio seems to think it's “just a convenient, lightweight multipage PDF for testing purposes, never meant to be seen by end users.”

Who knows? 🤷‍♂️

They scooped up an additional 6,455 bitcoins, bringing its total holdings to 140,000 bitcoins.

That's enough Bitcoin to make even Elon Musk jealous. 🤣

In case you didn't know: 

140,000 Bitcoin is 0.67% of the Bitcoin's total supply! 🤯

The company's Bitcoin pile is worth about $4.17bn, with an average purchase price of around $29,803 per bitcoin.
