CFTC Sues Binance

The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has sued Binance and its CEO, Changpeng Zhao, for allegedly violating trading and derivatives laws.

CFTC claims that Binance allowed US customers to trade commodity derivatives without proper identity verification or compliance procedures.

Binance's native token, BNB, fell 4.5% on the news.

A Binance spokesperson said the filing was "unexpected and disappointing" and that the company had been "working collaboratively" with the CFTC for over two years.

Polygon zkEVM Goes Live On Ethereum Mainnet

Polygon just launched their long-awaited zkEVM technology on the Ethereum mainnet!

zkEVM (zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine) can execute smart contract transactions in a way that can prove the information is executed correctly without revealing the information itself on Ethereum’s mainnet, thereby bundling more transactions in less mainnet blockspace.

To celebrate the launch, they invited Vitalik (the founder of Ethereum) to process the first transaction on Ploygon zkEVEM.

To ensure everything is safe and secure, Polygon's zkEVM has undergone three internal audits and two rounds of external security audits.

And they're not stopping there - there's an ongoing, continuous audit for the next three to four months, with a multi-million dollar bounty program in place.

Make no mistake, they're making this a high-tech fortress! 🤣

Ticketmaster Goes Live With NFT-gated Features

It allows artists to grant NFT owners special access to events.

In a statement released by the company, David Marcus, Ticketmaster’s executive vice president of global music said:

“This new capability allows artists to get special access and rewards to specific fans they want to super-serve. Artists like Avenged Sevenfold are using Web3 and NFTs to build deeper relationships with their fans, and we’re proud to help foster that connection through live events.”
