🔐 New Optimism Wallet Lets Users Receive Crypto Via Twitter Login

A new wallet called "Beam" has been launched on the Optimism network, allowing users to generate an address without needing seed words.

The wallet operates within a browser window, eliminating the need for downloads.

Users can create an account and access it using a standard Twitter login.

Beam allows users to send transactions on Optimism without owning Ether (ETH). Instead, gas fees can be paid using the coin being transferred.

For instance, if a user sends $100 in USD Coin (USDC), they can pay the gas fee in USDC.

 🤯 Major Crypto Regulation Development!

Crypto regulation has taken a significant step forward!

The bill, known as the Financial Innovation and Technology for the 21st Century Act, was passed by the House Financial Services Committee with a 35-15 vote.

This grants the CFTC jurisdiction over digital commodities and clarifies the SEC's authority over digital assets offered as investment contracts.

It also allows digital asset intermediaries to be registered with the SEC and CFTC.

While some Democrats oppose the bill, arguing that new regulations are unnecessary and that existing rules should be enforced, proponents of the bill believe it fills the gaps in the current regulatory system.
