Turn Your Game Boy into a Crypto Wallet!
Keyp (a crypto startup) is transforming original Nintendo Game Boy consoles into offline crypto hardware wallets called the “Game Wallet”.
Gameboy cold wallet demo: seed phrase is generated by talking to an NPC using a hash of your previous 500 button presses as you walk around and do quests.

Here are the specs of the Game Wallet:
It is not just a hardware wallet with a Game Boy cover; it is a brand new Game Boy game cartridge that incorporates gamification to generate users' seed phrases through quests and interactions with non-playable characters (NPCs).
It can store any cryptocurrency that utilizes BIP-32 seed phrases, including coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
The software of the Game Wallet is open source, allowing anyone to create their implementation if desired.
Joseph Schiarizzi, the founder of Keyp, describes the game experience as "Pokémon-like", aimed at making Web3 accessible and safe for everyone. 🔐
I mean, this is the hardware wallet that none of us realized we wanted until now. 🤣
Keyp is positioning the Game Wallet as an offline storage option that promises no firmware updates, addressing concerns about trust and supply chain vulnerabilities. (Did you see that? They're just entering the wallet game and they're already taking a swing at Ledger 😀).
With the recent controversies surrounding Ledger's new firmware update, called "Ledger Recover”, there is a need for a truly offline storage solution.
And Keyp's nine-person team believes their product addresses that need. 😎
Might be a safer option than Ledger right now too! 🤣
Time to find that old Game Boy of mine...🧐🎮

So, when can we get our hands on this product?
While an official release date for the Game Wallet has not been announced, Keyp plans to open pre-orders soon and aims for a summer rollout, assuming there are no supply chain or technical obstacles.
Summer is looking exciting! ☀️
By the way, did you know this isn't the first time the Game Boy has dabbled in the crypto world?
Two years ago, an IT security researcher turned the Game Boy into a Bitcoin mining device, although it was a bit slow. ⛏️
So, dust off your old Game Boy, folks! It's time to level up your crypto game with the Game Wallet. 🎮

Jaw-Dropping Evidence Unveiled in FTX Trial!
A crucial piece of evidence has emerged in the upcoming fraud trial of Sam Bankman-Fried, the disgraced founder of FTX.
And it’s something you’d never expect - It’s a “diary” belonging to Caroline Ellison! 📕😮

In case you don’t know: Caroline Ellison is the former CEO of Alameda Research and Bankman-Fried's ex-girlfriend.
Prosecutors alleged that she, Bankman-Fried, and other close associates had secretly used customer funds from FTX to support risky bets at Alameda, a cryptocurrency hedge fund affiliated with FTX.
She pleaded guilty to fraud charges last year, and is set to testify against Bankman-Fried. Prior to cooperating with prosecutors, she faced a potential prison sentence of up to 110 years.
The diary reportedly contains handwritten observations, some of which express “personal and professional resentment” towards Bankman-Fried.
Well, didn't we all? 🤣
Now, here's the real kicker:
Along with the diary, the evidence amassed by prosecutors includes more than six million pages of emails, slack messages, and other digital records making it one of the largest document collections ever secured in a white-collar securities fraud case.
We can assure you that Netflix would make a documentary out of this saga. 🎥
It's too unbelievable to be real.👌
Fun Facts: Caroline Ellison as a kid featured in the popular TV show "Back to Arthur" about 20 years ago now.
