🤩 Vitalik’s Long-Term Goal for Ethereum!

Vitalik Buterin has some big plans for the Ethereum Network.
His long-term goal is to scale the network to handle over 100,000 transactions per second (TPS) across Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks.
In a new blog post, Buterin explained that even with the Dencun upgrade and its introduction of blobs, Ethereum still lacks speed.
Ethereum initially included two scaling strategies in its roadmap: Sharding and layer 2 protocols.
However, the two paths converged over time, and we got the rollup-centric roadmap, which is now the network’s key scaling strategy.
For those unfamiliar with the rollup-centric roadmap, it proposes that Ethereum L1 focuses on being a robust and decentralized base layer, while L2s help the ecosystem scale.
While this roadmap has brought some important successes, it still has its fair share of unique challenges.
So, the task now is to solve these problems and complete the next stage of the rollup-centric roadmap that Buterin has dubbed “The Surge” — all while maintaining the robustness and decentralization that make Ethereum L1 special.
But that may be easier said than done.😬
In his quest to scale transaction speed, Buterin explored improving data availability sampling.
It’s a method that allows the network to verify data availability without requiring each node to download and store all the data.
And set a medium-term target of 16 MB per slot of data availability bandwidth, which could result in up to 58,000 TPS against the network’s current maximum of 375 kB per slot for rollups on Ethereum.
However, this mid-term target might not meet the needs of high-bandwidth sectors such as consumer payments or decentralized social applications.
Another avenue Buterin explored is boosting the base layer's scaling by implementing a more effective gas limit increase strategy.
However, this risks centralizing the L1 and weakening its credibility as a robust base layer.
Buterin also proposed making specific parts of Ethereum cheaper without increasing worst-case risks to decentralization.
So essentially, Ethereum’s path to scaling remains a delicate balance between speed and decentralization.
If you want to dive deeper into the potential futures for the Ethereum protocol, you can find more details in Buterin’s blog post here.

Crypto YouTuber Coffeezilla stirred the pot and caught some serious heat after questioning the alleged human trafficker, Andrew Tate, about his sketchy crypto endorsements.
You know, the eyebrow-raising ones like $VENOM, $DADDY, the reportedly hacked $ROOST coin, and even his attempts to get his “The Real World coin” ($TRW) regulated by the SEC despite his previously condescending tweet against them.
Here’s what happened:
Within hours, Coffeezilla was bombarded with a flood of abusive emails from Tate’s die-hard, loyal fans, who clearly don’t take kindly to tough questions.
Tate, never one to shy away from a dramatic moment, fired back with a video where he basically said, “Who’s this guy? I’m loved!” and threw in some colorful insults for good measure.
Meanwhile, Coffeezilla tweeted about Tate apparently sending his “War Room” after him and even shared a screenshot of Tate asking his followers to call him “gay.”
Nothing says, “I have nothing to hide,” quite like rallying your fanbase to send more hate mail!
In a bizarre twist, Tate claimed he “accidentally leaked” Coffeezilla’s email but then doubled down, saying he “regrets nothing.”
Oh, and he had a little warning for Coffeezilla, too: “Keep your sister and mother away from me, or they’ll end up working.”
Needless to say, Tate’s video was more about theatrics than actual answers, leaving us all wondering: is this a crypto scandal or a bizarre reality show?
Either way, grab your popcorn and dive into the full drama here!
